  1. i have 2 video, both codec used x264, same leve profile Main@L3.1 but put on my TV with pendrive, the first work correctly, second video can't reproduce... why? is possible that only for a different output resolution?

    first video OK

Reading the media info, next to different resolutions, the videos differ in number of Reference frames and display aspect ratios too.
Also, both of the videos having variable framerate, I can imagine not all variable framerates being supported by your tv.
Did you try the suggestion to remux with tsMuxer?

    second video NO WORK
    Code:

    Format profile : Main@L3.1
    ........
    Width : 1 520 pixels
Level 3.1 supports a maximum frame width of 1440 at height of 640.

Edit: for clarification, L3.1 supports a max frame size of 3600 macroblocks. Your frame is 1520x640/256=3800 macroblocks.

    @ Sharc
    ok. and then??

    @ Vitinho
your post here seems really inappropriate to me: your topic is completely different from mine. why do you write your problem into my thread? you are not able to create your own thread??
and i beg other users here, for a matter of fairness, not to respond beyond this intruder post.... really unbelievable...

As you can see from the MediaInfo report it changed the Frame rate from 'Variable' to '24.000 fps'.

  8. yes i know. but as you can see from the MediaInfo report, at my first post above, both video files (ok and no ok) had the same 'Variable' Frame rate, then this can't be the cause of not seeing that video...

The video itself is ok, there was a problem with the ts container.

  10. yes, i think so. but explain better your concept of container...
and exactly what does tsMuxer do that now the video works?

@lomero as Sharc mentioned, it has more horizontal rez than ALLOWED in Main@L3.1, so is not abiding by that Profile/Level designation. You will either have to flag it for a higher Profile/Level (if possible), or make adjustments & re-encode so it legitimately abides by that profile+level. This kind of thing CAN make or break playback, ESPECIALLY on dumb playback devices (like a TV).

Just my 2 cents worth but one video has the encoding settings:
    Cabac=1 / ref=2 / deblock=1:0:0 / analyse=0x1:0x111 /
And one doesn't. It has been my experience that x264 (or others) omits them in MediaInfo, Libx264 does not.??? Perhaps they store in container differently.

no problem. you are inside on my thread. you have to go on general Video Conversion section (here): https://forum.videohelp.com/forums/11-Video-Conversion click on top left then "Post New Thread" and write your personal thread.
you may be "new" here but if you don't even know how to create a new topic i wonder how you ask for technical explanations on the videos.... good luck!

    @ johns0
tanxs for your reply, but simply i've just add video and click on Start muxing without touching anything in the settings. and my new video work correctly.

    1) why videohelp software is not updated?
    2) on github page on Windows section we have <The ZIP file for Windows can just be unzipped and the executables can be used straight away - there are no dependencies>
but i don't see any zip file. when click on CODE download zip we have all file to build gui and exe but click on bat file i don't find file gui. how to work?? or have another valid and updated link to download latest 2.6.15 version?

  18. yes good idea also if this not is 2.6.15 version as my image post above... and strange, nightly is 25 MB gui + 5 MB tsmuxer, prev version 2.6.12 is only 2,6Mb + 256Kb... big difference!

try to remux with tsremuxer with default setting (see my post above) but not work.
then try to remux with changing profile level from 3.2 to 3.1 and also 3.0 but nothing work.
try also to change fps from 30 to 25, nothing.
i think problem is High@L3.2 profile level. how to change this profile to Main@L3.1?

  20. You have to go for a higher level, not lower level, for your resolution. Change to level 4.0, or if your player does not support 4.0 reduce the resolution and re-encode to make it compliant with level 3.1

  21. i've changed level profile to 4.0 but problem persist.
and as you see at my first post my worked video is 1800x735 with level Main@L3.1....
this new video is 1696x720 with level High@L3.2.
then lower profile is allowed also to lower resolutions.
but if i can't do a demux to the profile like above (Main@L3.1) all that remains is a new encoding....

    1696x720 could be the problem.

  23. yes, you're right, i've tried now: my problem is video resolution, not level profile.
changed resolution with ffmpeg with -vf scale all work correctly.
    Code:
    ffmpeg -i video.ts -vf scale=1280:544 -c:a copy -q 5 output.ts

  24. update: new attempt this morning, just out of curiosity ...
with ffmpeg i've used this command:
    Code:
    ffmpeg -i video.ts -acodec copy -q:v 5 output.ts
then my problem it's not video resolution, but some codec setting from original video...
i have played other video with x264 codec without problem on my TV, so the cause is not the codec x264.
and with this last command i don't have changed original resolution, so the cause is not resolution 1696x720
