    Is there a way to tell Handbrake Nightly to convert UTF-8 subs to something other than ASS?

    Plex does not handle ASS very well. In order to view the subs Plex has to transcode the video which completely defeats the purpose (for me) of converting video to 10bit x265 for direct stream purposes.

    This is very annoying and I feel this is something that Handbrake should have addressed a long time ago.

    Nah Handbrake has always done this. It's been seen as a non-issue for the longest while.
