Is it possible to download dash mpd and convert into mp4 using ffmpeg？

I know how to download m3u8 to mp4, for example:
ffmpeg -i http://domain.com/index.m3u8 -c copy v.mp4

but it failed if I download mpd:
ffmpeg -i http://domain.com/index.mpd -c copy v.mp4

How to download mpd simply just like download a m3u8?

Well, that command works with ffmpeg v4.2.2 but failed with v4.3.1
so why?
why the new version not support mpd download?

You can just download segments manually and then concatenate them with ffmpeg/copy/cat command
Segments have to be in
Init + segment 1 + 2+3+...
