Hi,
Doing digital transfers of old VHS tapes. A small section (about 2.5 inches) got mangled in my VCR. What will happen if I try to rewind the tape and play it? Or just looking for a fix (will I have to splice it?). Thanks so much I appreciate any help, I do not know a lot about VHS tapes.
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays!

Also, sorry if this question has been asked before.. I've been doing research but I always like to ask on forums

vhs is about 1.5 inches per second so your 2.5 inches is a little longer than second and a half. i wouldn't splice it as you're likely to make the problem longer and worse. just accept the dropouts.

Only splice it if it's clogs the heads or is in a spot where's there's nothing will be missed.
