    Not a chance. What have you done already to teach yourself? Watched any YouTube tutorials? Read the AviSynth guides for beginners at the AviSynth website? Read in the AviSynth Forum at Doom9? Installed AviSynth and created some basic scripts to open in Virtual Dub to help learn? Used any encoding programs that rely on AviSynth scripts so you can study those scripts they create?

    yes.

    Avisynth+ and VirtualDub2 are the latest evolutions.
    A significant part of Avisynth functionality requires external dll plugins, which must be downloaded separately.
    The byteness must match, ex: x64 Avisynth+/plugins with x64 VDub2

    .avs can also be previewed in video players such as mpc or mpv.
