Hello!
I recently got a Panasonic NV-HD630 VCR. The first two tapes I tried played beautifully but after rewinding the second tape it got stuck in the machine and error message F04 was shown on the display, I ended up having to open it up to manually eject the tape. Now if I insert a tape you hear the gears working and the video head starts to spin, the magnetic tape is however not pulled out of the cassette case and after a couple of seconds i once again get the F04 error and the tape gets stuck.
Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this issue and if it's fixable? There is a repair shop in my town that offers service on VCRs but I suspect it might be too pricey for it to be worth it, at the same time it seems a shame to bin a machine that can be fixed. Is it possible to do these kinds of repairs yourself or is it best to not start poking around without experience?
Appreciate any help!
