I have never seen anything indicating that faster memory or ECC memory benefits the playback of a theatrical movie in any way. I have only seen some advice stating that more video memory is needed as video resolution and bit depth increase.Ignore list: hello_hello, tried, TechLord, Snoopy329
Spending money on faster memory is the least effective way to get better performance in real world applications. Spending the same amount of money on a faster CPU, GPU, of SSD (depending on what you do with your computer) will make a much bigger difference.
The only reason to have faster memory is for games after having a better cpu and video card.I think, therefore i am a hamster.
