I use MPC-BE 1.5.4 with renderer set to EVR (custom). I want to be able to change color saturation like in Photoshop - pick a color range and lower its saturation. With EVR I can only adjust brightness, contrast, hue and OVERALL saturation.

I'm looking for something like this:

Is that possible? I know that ffmpeg has tons of controls, but I don't know how to get it to work with MPC-BE.

  2. Not possible.

You also can't use ffmpeg with mpc-be, you could with mpv.

It would very likely be possible though pixel shader code, though I'm not sure what this color transformation does precisely (How is Yellows defined here ?).

    Edit: https://ffmpeg.org/ffmpeg-filters.html#selectivecolor-1

Fair enough. Why is it impossible, though? Is it just too much for modern CPUs?

  4. As far as I know mpc-be doesn't have this feature built-in (If it's a renderer feature, maybe it exists in a different renderer, or maybe your gpu driver has it ?).
Regular color controls are good/confusing enough for most users.
