CPU benchmark (HardInfo) - what result most relevant for x265 encoding

The HardInfo program (https://www.linuxlinks.com/HardInfo/) include 6 different CPU/FPU benchmarks.

from the link above:

Benchmark and compare your system:
CPU Blowfish.
CPU CryptoHash.
CPU Fibonacci.
CPU N-Queens.
FPU FFT.
FPU Raytracing.

So - what I wonder - what kind of benchmark is most important / what should I look for - when the goal is performance for encoding x265 videos.

No, that software is windows only. I'd use Handbrake as that also can run natively on Linux.

However - that doesn't answer the question about the benchmark tools / maybe my question is stupid, but I'd like to hear why . . . .

Encoding uses both integer and floating point units. You won't get answer based on those benchmark. Btw. That x265 fhd benchmark will run fine under WINE. If you are real Linux user then this shouldn't be a problem.

Thank you very much - that's a good answer. In other words - there are no correlation between various CPU benchmark tests and the real life performance for encoding x265.

The only benchmark that is relevant to x265 encoding is x265 encoding. BTW, since you like Handbrake, then you will like this:
