rm to vcd (mpg)

which way of convertin rm to mpg has the best quality. im new here by the way, ooo yeah

Converting rm to vcd is not easy and the only proven way i know is to:

1. Use Hypercam to capture the real movie - video only
2. Use a registered version of TOTAL RECORDER to capture sound only
3. Use virtuadub or tmpgenc to encode to vcd.mpg

You will need to experiment with the initial sound file to get the sound into sync but it can be done.

An alternative to above is TINRA altho my attempts to convert have not been successful.
