  1. After I Open Audacity I go to the Settings.
Under Quality I Set the Sample Rate to 44.100 Hz.

Then I Click Ok then Clost the Settings Screen.

Now if I Open an Audio File it Tells me the Sample Rate is 48,000 Hz.
It Says this Right In Front of the Audio File.

    What is going on?

The 48k Hz is probably the sampling rate of the source file. If you wish to export it to a 44.1 KHz file,
set it in the selection toolbar and export your file

  4. Thank you for getting back to me.

So if I Understand you Right I would do this after I Open an Audio File.

I will Open an Audio File and just to let you know it Says 48,000 Hz Right In Front of the Audio Track and on the Bottom Left Side where it Says Project Rate.
So if I want to Export my Audio File as 441000 Hz I Select my Whole Audio File then Down in the Project Rate Box I pick 441000 Hz then Export My Audio File?
