4K Video Downloader no longer downloads and all thumbnails are blank

Today when I opened 4K Video Downloader I noticed that all the thumbnails for my previous downloads have gone blank. Also, I can no longer download any YouTube videos, I just get a red triangle icon and "Error".

I thought the problem may have been with the version I had upgraded to recently (4.14.1) although it had worked previously, so I downgraded back to my previous version (4.13.1), yet the problem still remains. I should also mention this is the free version and I still have the 30 downloads per day left.

Any suggestions or solutions so I can download again?

Thanks for the reply october262. I tried the troubleshooting tips before posting, disabled my firewall & antivirus, but none worked. The only option left is to reboot the computer which I was trying to avoid, and I doubt is the cause since the program was working fine yesterday.

I am experiencing the exact same thing. And I did the exact same thing...uninstalled after updating and reverted to a prior version and still have same issue with getting pop up error or a red triangle icon. Did YT modify their code to prevent downloads?

I just talked to them by email for this issue youtube did make changes. So they fixed it. They told me to close the program and reopen it and if that doesn't work they also said reboot then retry. I know its fixed cause i tried the program after they got back to me. So try again.

I have the same issue I posted a Week ago but no reply until last night and the person suggested PM-ing Baldric or anather administrator but before I do I just saaw this and I wonder if it is related here is my issue

I have a Problem with YouTube it was fine on friday when I last used it but now YouTube has sound' but no video? Face Book and all other Web Browser media and is working? the only thing I was thinking was Java ?? They dont have that anymore..... I think
I have cleared Historys, Cache etc in Firefox and Edge (I dont use Edge or Chrome) and done all I know how to do which is not much?

I am still having issues with this. Every time I shutdown and restart this program it no longer downloads any videos, just an error message. Plus, all previous downloads are grayed out. I have to un-install and re-install the program every time to get it to work. This happens with any version, not just v14. Has there been any fix for this?

but I wil step it out for you, and you can take what you need: [/ It was ADBlocker in Firefox and OR new Advert blocker that block's lines of Ads as you are scrolling them. I deletd the latter and dissconnected ADBlocker and it worked and has done so ever since as you can see I had cleared Caches on borh Edge and Firefox no joy there ]

If I understand correctly, you are saying that the issue lies with an adblocker? I use uBlock Origin so that may be the cause, however, I had been using it when I first started using 4K Downloader v13 and never had an issue. It wasn't until I updated to v14 that the problem started. Now it affects all of the older versions I revert back to. If it is the adblocker, that's a problem for 4K Downloader as there are lots of adblocker users out there.

Are you aware of a fix because if it comes down to choosing between my adblocker or 4K Downloader, I'll choose the adblocker.
