Need help downloading flash video from wayback machine

Hello,

I am trying to download a clip at a site that's only available on the wayback machine. https://web.archive.org/web/20080328033450/http://soaphunks.net/moments.php?rank=010 The video does not play. Even when I click enable flash, it says "movie not loaded" when I right click. I read that adobe flashplayer won't be supported after December 31, 2020 so this may be my last chance. I looked at the source code, and found a URL for the video https://web.archive.org/web/20080328033450oe_/http://soaphunks.net/moments/video/soaps010.swf I was even able to download that, but it's only 8KB and does not play (I tried with VLC and also downloaded flashplayer_32_sa_debug.exe and it doesn't work). Either being able to download a usable version or get it to stream through my browser and then screen capturing it with OBS would be fine with me.

I understand that it's possible wayback only archived the page and the pictures and not necessarily the video, but clicking through that site I found other videos that I was actually able to download and play even now, so I'm hopeful. Those other videos were .wmv so I wonder if the issue is the .swc source file.

Can't the corresponding episode be found somewhere ? Shouldn't be too hard to find, out of only 11745 episodes...

Lol, unfortunately it's really hard to find videos of Y&R from the 1980s. I've tried all the trading sites and I'm very surprised no one has these scenes considering they were once online.

I tried searching “young restless” on eMule — DON'T DO DAT (or be prepared for an onslaught of nasty naughty titles).
There's a french saying that goes : “culture is what's left when you've forgotten everything” ; but nowadays, what's left is hardcore pornography.
This is what we should put on a golden record if there's ever a Voyager III probe sent toward the nearest stars — a big golden di(s)(c)(k) filled to the brim with petabytes of pornography and beheadings and a 10 hours loop of Justin Bieber's “Baby Baby” music video ; that way they'll know right away who they're up against, and will either come put us out of our misery, or not dare come anywhere near that godforsaken teenage wasteland of a planet. (Unless they're like the lunatic aliens from the 1997 movie Contact, who were first made aware of humanity's existence when receiving a television broadcast of a speech by Adolf Hitler, and still cared to send a greeting gift.)
