Ok, I got an AVI file and enconded it to MPEG with TMPGEnc (352x288/25fps) with the template to fit the full movie in 1 VCD (2 pass mode). No problems so far. The total running time of the AVI file is 85 minutes. The total running time of the MPEG is 85 minutes if played in Windows Media Player or Real One Player, BUT only 53 minutes if played in Power DVD XP. I thought it was Power DVD's fault and went ahead anyway. I burned the movie first with Nero 5.5.8.0 and then with VCDEasy. No problems at all and no warning signs, BUT when I put the VCD in the standalone DVD player the total running time was only 53 minutes. I also played the VCD in my laptop's DVD with Power DVD XP and the running time was also 53 minutes. Well, I thought the movie was damaged (I downloaded it from the net, and you never know...), but it did happen again with a different movie. So, is this normal? I mean, how's that possible if it's the SAME file but played with different software? I wouldn't mind if I got the right running time in the VCD and not in Windows Media Player because I like to watch the movies in the standalone DVD player, but being the other way round I'm kinda desperate... Any ideas? Thanks a lot.
