None, Hybrid just encoding like ffmpeg does, The files have been de-interlaced and resized already.

I'm encoding right now at 5 fps:

  2. The veryfast preset is about three times faster than the medium preset. It delivers lower quality but you can make up for that by using higher bitrates. Using settings like:

    Code:
    --preset=veryfast --crf=12 --keyint=6 --bframes=0 --no-psy --stitchable
will get you files about 3x larger than --preset=medium at crf=18 but they'll be higher quality, nearly indistinguishable from the source. Bumping the crf up to 15 will get about the same quality as --preset=medium at crf=18 with files that are about twice as large. The short GOPs with no bframes (--keyint=6, --bframes=0) files will be very easy to edit. That can be very important since they aren't saving the original caps.

I grabbed your video from a few pages back if you didn't mind and converted it using Staxrip with these settings, I use FieldDeinterlace on older video with Staxrip, this seems to give me best results all the time.

    This is the result

    Highest x264/mp4 setting

    Highest x265/mkv setting

forgot to say Staxrip is pretty quick as well I'm using an old Xeon X5675 it took about 6 seconds to convert the 1st file and 55 for the high x265/mkv file.
