    What's easiest, convert video to 720 or srt to 1080? I dont have a clue if it's easy or not.

    Resolution doesn't matter as long as the video length and sub timing is the same.

    You may have to fix the timing if the video is 25 or 29.97 fps and the sub is the opposite. You can easily do this with Subtitle Workshop.

    SRT subtitles are automatically scaled to the size of the video.
