  1. Hello, I'm new here and hoping to receive some guidance for a spare-time project.

I have decided to see if I could somehow get the TVGO Channels in Xfinity Stream into the Live Channels app on my nVidia Shield Pro 2019. Currently for playback I am using a modded .apk with the HDMI check disabled.

So far I have installed BlueStacks, Xfinity Stream, URL Snooper 2, and Kodi Configurator.
I can get the .mpd manifest for channels, and open it to look at, or try to play them, but obviously they are encrypted.
Some more research, I believe it is DASH CENC PlayReady

So now I am back to more research. I'll need to figure out the encryption thing. I am watching the channel in an authorized manner so I would think I can get the required info to decrypt it. I need to figure how to watch a channel from an .mpd manifest in something like VLC or a browser before I can move on to the next step of converting the .mpd to .m3u8, to be imported into any IPTV player.

Actually, I'm a little lost. I'm not sure how to proceed from here, I've just been reading as much as I can on MPEG-DASH CENC implementation.

Here are a few manifest links I have pulled:

    Code:

Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated.

The dash manifest also contains the uuid for widevine (edef8ba9-79d6-4ace-a3c8-27dcd51d21ed).

Your best chance is probably kodi with inputsream.

For real-time live channels, that is bound to be challenging. If you have a server you can setup web player software that supports dash w/widevine license server. Maybe it would work, but probably some cross-site check would fail.

  3. Just checking back to report that I managed to figure this out. It was much easier than what I was trying to do. Channels DVR has an app to host my own dvr server on my Shield. I then downloaded the m3u8 over the network and imported it into pvrlive. The guide is xmltv.
