Hi every one.
I've a problem playing (and authoring) HEVC (x265) videos.
I have 2 players : MPC-HC and VLC. MPC is using K-lite (Mega) codecs (up to date). VLC use it's own codecs
When I play HEVC video or when I do rencoding with Handbrake, I get a strange color set : things looks gray

Left is VLC (no filter), right is MPC (no filter too).
And it's also the same with my media center (freebox) witch plays movies on my TV with the same color aspect than MPC.
I guess I've problem with my codecs... Any idea ?
Thanks to readers...

Content is HDR (confirm this with mediainfo) and requires tonemapping to display on a SDR screen, otherwise you get washed out colors. VLC does this automatically, mpc-hc doesn't. Mpc-be also has automatic HDR-to-SDR tonemapping. It can be done (manually) in mpc-hc using a third party pixel shader or an external renderer. Use whatever solution works best for you in terms of ease-of-use, results and performance.

HDR-to-SDR tonemapping certainly can be done at encoding (maybe also in handbrake). You should be able to find guides for HDR10 PQ sources at least.
