  1. What tools does SVP (smooth video project) use?

I heard that SVP uses some open source programs to do what it does, what are those programs (specially the motion smoother one?!

  2. SVP 3.0-series contains modified version of MVTools2 Avisynth plugin and we're grateful to all of MVTools authors: Manao, Fizick, Tsp, TSchniede and SEt for developing such a great library.
    see: https://www.svp-team.com/wiki/Plugins:_MVTools2

The Avisynth FrameRateConverter script is an attempt to do the same without the gpu support,..

    Thanks for answering.

You mean avisynth framerateconverter is separate from the one SVP uses? If I'm right then which one of them performs better?

  4. FrameConverter does not use the svpflow*.dlls it does use mvtools2 (latest version does include the modifications svp team did back then), but that's probably the only dependency it shares with SVP.
Haven't compared FrameConverter and SVP for ages, so it might have changed, but last I compared them FrameConverter sometimes was better and sometimes it was worth, depending on the settings. But was always slower than SVP with GPU support.

  6. btw. if you look at Interpolation methods in Avisynth you might also want to look at the other alternatives listed over at http://avisynth.nl/index.php/External_filters#Frame_Rate_Conversion
At least SalFPS3 might be worth a look.

I tested it along with framerateconverter and MvToolsFPSmod and interframe (using a tool called hybrid)

I found this results framerateconverter > MvToolsFPSmod > interframe > SalFPS3 (my opinion only, I wanted more motion flow than less artifacts I also found framerateconverte to be pretty close to DAIN app (which my CPU and GPU isn't capable of!))

OMG, your tool is very helpful to me (as I'm pretty bad at none GUI stuff and scrips!)

Your tool literally is making me addicted to converting anime/movies into 60fps making me thinking about buying a new CPU for this only!

Thanks for making this amazing thing.
