  1. Does anyone know why games do not run if you make a copy of them?

I've tried to burn a few of them and they don't seem to work. I use Easy CD Creator 5 and just copy them that way. Should I try to use another CD burning software?

    Hope someone can help me.

    Thanks in advance!!

  2. Um, because they're copy protected....

Assuming your doing this to make backups of games YOU ALREADY OWN !!!! then clonecd by elaborate bytes is the way to go, look for it in google.

  4. *Sigh* that's OK then, also get a copy of ClonyXL that will detect the copy protection on your CD and set up CloneCD to copy it right. Note that some games (i.e. Ghost Recon, Max Payne, Anything from EA) will use Safedisk v2. This can only be copied by certain drives and the discs can usually only be played back on the drive that copied it, these you have to "crack". www.gamecopyrorld.com gives thorough instructions for making *BACKUPS* (note, not warez but legal backups of games already owned) using these tools.
