    Hi,

I currently trying to reduce my video file size for a lot of videos. They are mostly about 25 to 30 minutes and take up to 4GB which is way too much.... Can anybody give me some tips how I can reduce the video file size? I don't want to buy more storage inorder to film more...

There is a very simple formula:

Video Size = runlength * bitrate. So it follows that to reduce the size you reduce the bitrate.

In practice it may not be so simple. Firstly you have to consider the frame size >> the larger that is the more bitrate you may need to give good quality. Also a lot of movement will also demand more bitrate else the movement will not be smooth.

So you will need to experiment to see how low a bitrate you can go before it affects the viewing experience.

You can also consider reducing the frame size which then allows you to reduce the bitrate even more.
