You haven't provided enough information to get help with your problem.

Anyone wanting to help you will need a working link to the webpage hosting the content that you want to download but, unfortunately, the resolution of the provided screenshot is not great and the website address it shows is hard to read. I typed in what I saw but the link failed to connect to a website.

The screenshot shows that you are using The Stream Detector to find the playlist for the video but what software are you using to download? Maybe you need help with configuring that software or need to use different software.

You can clearly read the web address in screenshot:
    https://goplay.anontpp.com/3131363130333076/Tell-Me-What-You-Saw/Episode-1/
However a token key is required to play it.

    Thanks.

That is the reason I didn't provide the link directly because you need a token from reddit or discord to access the shows.

Left click on the imgur link then right click on one the 2 screenshots then choose "Open image in a new tab" and you will be able to see the link to the website and all the info I provided but you don't have a token from reddit or discord so you won't be able to reproduce my problem.

You could easily read it but it was definitely not easy for me to read tiny low-contrast text on my smallish laptop screen. I got a message that the site that I typed in was down.

The context menu didn't provide that option when I tried that earlier. The only thing that happened was the normal enlargement via the magnifier pointer. I tried right-clicking the image again just now and it worked this time.

I'm not a member of reddit or discord and don't want to join those sites. I waste too much time as it is with just a membership at VideoHelp.

I use TVDownloader with VTT links from The Stream Detector with good results.

    It's fine

I think the owner is encrypting the subtitles somehow here's the link for the vtt: https://goplay.anontpp.com/service/subs.vtt?d=yUapOy+zSxXGvMNpC1vSCs26cUkAhmvN3SH+zPSn...hjOXdhczNIUT09

I tried your software but it's the same thing as just downloading them directly, unfortunately there's only one word.

I tried downloading the vtt subs using TVDownloader and directly from the link above. The file was essentially empty, only a few bytes in size. I don't think the subtitle file is encrypted but it may be hidden somehow.

I downloaded a low-resolution version of the video to see if EIA-608 closed captions might be present. VLC didn't detect any and CCExtractorGUI didn't find any either. There is a third program I can try if I can remember how to use it.

Probably there is a one-time use code, based upon encoded values in the source of the page. It's implemented for both vtt and m3u8.

If you don't want to take the time to understand the encoded values, just copy the contents of subs.vtt from the response tab in the browser.

Is understanding the encoded values possible for someone who isn't a programmer? If yes where do I start?.
try using youtube-dl to get the subtitles - https://superuser.com/questions/927523/how-to-download-only-subtitles-of-videos-using-youtube-dl

Possibility is a very low hurdle. You'll have to judge how possible it is for yourself.

View the source of the page, without loading the actual page. If you've already loaded the actual page, refresh the "view-source" instance of the page.

    Code:
    view-source:https://goplay.anontpp.com/3131363130333076/Tell-Me-What-You-Saw/Episode-1/
Search (Ctrl+F) the page source for:

    c_s =

Take the values between the quotes (following c_s =) and copy them and then paste them here:

    Code:
    https://www.rapidtables.com/convert/number/hex-to-ascii.html
The converted url will work exactly once.

I kept reloading until I got it to work! Thank you some much how did you find out that c_s means subtitles?
