mpd download filter

Hello,

i got an mpd url from Unified Streaming / Unified Origin. It looks like https://xxxx.com/origin/xyz_2020-9-22_17-37/xyz.ism/.mpd?filter=YP649YcYtgWc-2nZunfHFZ...Vd9cWRD96CGfSA . I want to modify the filter to get higher bitrate/resolution. Anyone knows the algorithm or what hash type that is or how the filter is generated. Normally the filter would look like example (type==%22audio%22%26%26systemBitrate<100000)||(ty pe==%22video%22%26%26systemBitrate<1024000)

Leaving the filter off completely should download a mpd without anything filtered.

If i leave the filter off i get 400: Bad Request error and if i modify the unknown filter algorithm value i get 400: Filter is incorrect error.

So, a filter is required in this case. Removing the filter has worked for urls of this sort, but only when the query string parameter is of the style like at the end of your first post.

I'd have to see the real url. But even that probably wouldn't be enough. It might be all on the server side as far as how the query string parameter is encoded.

Ok, thanks. So this must be a custom encoding on server side that we don't know. I thought maybe this is a plugin from Unified Streaming / Unified Origin but seems not or?

It might be. Perhaps take a step back and find what network request initially returns this mpd url.

Maybe in the request for the mpd there are some parameters that could be modified that would return a mpd with a different filter.
