    Hello people, I can't generate the wavefile, I don't know why, I tried with others videos and I don`t have any problem but when I try with a short video that I have to subtitle I cant because
    says: VLC was unable to extract audio data.

    What could be the problem?

    Subtitle Edit can use FFmpeg instead of VLC to extract audio - Go to Options - Settings - Waveform.
    (FFmpeg is also faster)

    If it's a public video, you could upload it somewhere, so we can take a look.
