As the title suggests I am after advice on how to change an MKV file audio component from DTS-MA to AC3

My new LG CX77 OLED doesnt support DTS-MA..

I'm not familiar at all with with how to use programs with scripts either unfortunately.

    Thanks,

There are different ways to do it.

The most straight forward solution would be StaxRip

    Here a quick picture guide:

    1. Open your video -> Select "Single File"

(if a window opens with asking you to install a dependency, install it, then close the window)

    2. (1) Select your video output - (2) Set the Video Codec to "Copy/Mux"

    3. (1) Click on the Audio Codec - (2) Set it to AC3

You can repeat Step 3 for the other Audio Track if you have one.

If you don't like this approach, or if you are not on Windows, you can try ffmpeg:

    Code:
    ffmpeg -i yourvideo.mkv -c:v copy -c:a ac3 -b:a 640k out.mkv
