I have discovered that when I play my VCDs on my standalone DVD Player (Philips DVD762) and they go out of sync - often after a slight freeze - I can resync the audio by pressing the pause button, rewinding for a few seconds, pressing the pause button again and then pressing play.
This works and the audio comes into sync again.
I HAVE NO IDEA WHY THIS SHOULD WORK!
    Can anyone explain?

  2. Hi,

Did you have an explaination for this problem. I have the same thing with my DVD612. The anoying thing is that with every new clip on the CD you have to press the 'pause' button to get the the audio/video in synch again.

Hope you have some additional information.

The mpg files are created with TMPGEnc - and I stopped using the new versions and have gone back to Beta 12a or 12b.
Movies downloaded and already converted to mpg usually run without a hitch - the out of sync phenomenom is mostly on my own conversions, but as I wrote, can usually be fixed by pause, rewind, pause and play. And I'm still no wiser as to why it works!
