I have been fiddling around with Premiere 6.0 and Ulead's Media Studio Pro 6.0 trying to create a slide show and adding Hollywood FXs. The problem is that when I add image files, I crop them so that they are under 720x480, but the programs stretch the image to the borders. Can't any of these programs maintain the aspect ratio and then just leave a border similar to what happens on a tv when playing a widescreen movie? This is particularly a problem with photos I shot in portrait mode. Do I actually have to crop them so that they will fit exactly in the 720x480 aspect ratio? I could have sworn I've seen others import images into Premiere any they didn't take up the entire frame. This has been very frustrating.
Thanks
