I bought this player because it is advertised as "it will play virtually every Blu-ray, DVD, and audio CD format" and surprise! it doesn't play my zone B blu-rays. There is no mention of zones not in the player nor in the manual. I've realized that at least it plays region 2 and 1 DVDs. I called technical support and they say there is no workaround to make it multi zone. Anyone familiar with this player? Thanks.

there are region hacks for denon dvd players - https://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks?dvdplayer=Denon+DN&hits=50&Search=Search
so you might try them to see if they'll work on your player.

Thanks for the link. I have been able to get into Factory Mode just introducing clear-1-4-7 in the home menu. In the factory mode I’m able to choose DVD region with OK button but it doesn’t work for BD region. Anybody any idea?

most dvd players only have hacks for the dvd side of the player, the Blu-ray side is still locked.
if you want a truly region free dvd /Blu-ray player then get one from here - https://www.220-electronics.com/

Buy a different Bluray player - one that is actually multi-region ($$).

Have you tried contacting Denon Professional Support? https://www.denonpro.com/support

Maybe they have a firmware update?

I finally found a way to make this Denon player multi region. It's easy to install and requieres no soldering. I tested it myself and it works great. Take a look to RattleByte multi region kit: https://www.rattlebyte.com/Shop.php?lang=en&action=select_model&model_id=288

  8. Last time I checked the rattlebyte site the blu-ray region free module for my Oppo 95 and/or Pioneer LX500 required soldering. No thanks. Instead, with the few such out of region discs in my collection, I play them via JRiver with Any DVD HD running in the background.

Yep, most of the players need soldering but this Denon and the Tascam don't. I was lucky because I have no soldering skills. Anyway, I really recomend this kits.
