Convert HEVC

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering what is the best software to use to convert HEVC to H264.
My laptop with VLC player refuses to play videos encoded using HEVC which is a pity, don't know why..

I did try Handbrake but it took a really long time.

Use faster settings. The the x264 veryfast preset.

What CPU do you have? Your profile lists i7-750 but there is no such CPU. Maybe it's an i5-750? i7-7500U? If your CPU has Intel QuickSync you can use that for faster h.264 encoding. In Handbrake it appears as the "H.264 (Intel QSV)" codec.

Thanks for the reply. I'm currently using an old PC with an AMD E2-1800 processor, that's probably the reason it's taking so long.
I'll try the faster preset you mention though.
