Creating chapters in Potplayer x64

How do I create and name chapters in a 3 hour h264/mp4 file? Would also be good if these chapters are also marked after uploading it to youtube.

AFAIK, you can only create bookmarks in Potplayer. Those bookmarks won't do you any good in YouTube though.

If your computer has a graphics card, you can use DaVinci Resolve* to create chapters, label those chapters, and have them work in both Potplayer and YouTube. Set markers in the timeline as you're editing you video. Once you're happy with the everything, go to "Deliver", and tick the box that says "Chapters from Markers".

can davinci do smart recode (i.e. stream copy) without long rendering times if all I'm doing is trimming + adding chapters?

Hey, do you know how to make chapter titles in Potplayer visible? Similar to VLC where you hover during a video chapter/section and it displays the name of the chapter. Potplayer only shows the separation marks for the chapters, but not their names.
