VirtualDub2 ---- 32 bit vs. 64-bit?
I use the 64-bit version of Windows 7. Iím new to VirtualDub.
I see that there are a good many more filters in, and available for, the 32-bit version of VirtualDub2 than the 64-bit version, and some of those additional 32-bit filters would be useful to me.
In my brief tests, both the 64-bit and the 32-bit VirtualDub2 seem to work without problem. Other things being equal, I would probably opt for any 64-bit program as I understand it handles memory better than 32-bit programs. But with VirtualDub2 the tradeoff would be fewer available filters.
Is there any advantage to using the 64-bit VirtualDub? Maybe matters that I donít observe in my brief tests but that may reveal themselves when doing real work (e.g., filters to clean-up VHS captures)?
