    Hi, any video converter, which could convert video to number of formats, has the video bit rate as -1, in the basic settings, which remain the same, if the user opts for any video format.
    what does this mean, please

  2. I don't use this program, but it probably means disabled .

    "video bitrate" and "constant quality" are mutually exclusive methods of rate control for the codec you have chosen (x264). You have "22" selected in the screenshot, it probably means "CRF 22". If you were to enter a bitrate, I suspect the "constant quality" field would be "-1" or disabled

    I have an older version this program and that does not have a 'constant quality' option. I believe this was added to a recent update.


    So I concur. You either set the quality or the bitrate. You can not have both.
