Even if I did try and use later versions of Subtitle Workshop, I must say that the best for me is still version 2.51.
They made modifications on later versions, like in the two 6.0 versions, but they are not as smooth and precise, as well as easy to use as 2.51.
The problems is I can't find a way to make version 2.51 run in Windows 10.
Can anyone suggest a way to do so, or it's impossible?

It seems to run fine under Win10 (1909, 64-bit) here.

Is there some feature in particular that isn't working for you? -
In the meantime I just did try another thing, changing an option in the Matroska Splitter program.
Haali Media Splitter -> Media Splitter Settings -> Options ->
Then in Output -> select "Use custom media type for H.264" -> select "Value" = Yes (it was in No) -> OK
And the video showed up in the program.
