  1. I have a mpg file in VCD format. I want to add a subtitle to that mpg. I used a VDUBs filter Textsub(for use with srt or sub). It was not possible to save it in mpg format. In virtualdub i only could save in avi format. So i frameserved to TMPGENC. But in tmpgenc i got the message that the videofile is unsupported. I read the howto section. They say exact the same what i did.
    Thanks

  3. Quite easy. I just want to add subtitles to my mpg's. I read the howto section. It says that i can open avi-mpg-asf files with vdub, and then frameserve to TmpENc. But i think it's only possible to frameserve to tmpgenc with avi files. So there is no way for me more to add subtitles to my mpegs.
    Unless somebody knows a way.

Have you installed VirtualDubs frameserver handle? If you can frameserve an avi, you can do the same for an VCD mpg. You might have to change the priority settings in TMPGEnc to make it accept .vdr as input.

  5. yeap remember that aviproxy must be off and u must install the handler. Just incase, i had problems frameserving with virtualdub to tmpeg. I recomend u getting vdub v.1.4.9 thats if v.1.4.10 does not work. good luck

  6. I used vdub 1.4.9 now (and tmpgenc 12a because I had some problems with the newest version) and everything works now
