  1. Hello,

I've been using WinX DVD author for years now, with very few complaints. Last week I installed a new MOBO, processor and RAM, however the ASUS Bluray DVD ROM is carry over from my previous build. Windows 10 sees the drive and will play DVDs; however, WinX DVD doesn't populate the drive when I try to burn a disk (the Device Name is empty and can't be adjusted).

    Any thoughts?

Full Model of this 'writer' ? I guess when you wrote 'ROM' that was a typo since a ROM drive can only read disks not write to them. Or do you have two drives and selected the wrong one ?

  4. Thank you for replying, october262 and DB83:

My problem is 99% corrected and probably 99% my fault as well. When I installed WinX DVD on my new system, I didn't also DL and install imgburn, which previously would auto-burn in tandem with the WinX DVD. So far, WinX DVD isn't auto-burning like it did previously (requiring me to create a file out of it, and then burn it using imgburn), but at least I can burn my weekly episodes of Smallville for the team.

    Thanks
