    Short answer: No

Longer answer: A VCR requires an analog signal to tune in to a defined channel (US guys can confirm the appropriate ones since ours are different)

What might be possible, depends on your tv, is to use it as a monitor and connect a D-connector to it from a video-out on your video card on the pC or an hdmi cable from your video card to hdmi on the tv.

So you actually have a tv with built-in vcr.

Someone may correct me here but this unit is analog only. That converter box appears to accept hdmi and output RCA but there is no indication of any digital to analog conversion. And in that scenario it will not work for you.

Ok. My bad. Yes. Composite is an analog signal.

You will still have the issue of providing power to the converter.

So it might work. I just fail to see what you gain by doing this.

Page 24 of the manual shows which input is for audio. Audio on the converter is red and white. So it's just a simple trial and error which one works (both should)

  13. If I wanted to record my computer screen on my VCR, I would use one of my computers that has HDMI, DVI, or Displayport output. I would then connect this to the HDMI input on my Denon receiver. Like many receivers, it can convert input signal into many formats. On my AVR-3311 this includes the ability to convert HDMI to composite NTSC video. So, all I'd need to do is press "record" on my VCR and it will record whatever is being fed into the Denon receiver.
