  1. Hi,

I’m looking for a way to change subtitle’s font to a specific type that’s not available neither on Samsung TV or plex media server, but unfortunately with no luck so far.
The way I’m using now is merge srt with mkv file and play it directly from Harddrive to Samsung tv pr some times using plex media server.

  3. Sure I will try it, but I belive I’ll face some difficulties with it as my server is on WD My home cloud I’m not sure if this server supports it. Is there another way to include the font with subtitle ?
Thank you for the suggestion I Really appreciate it.

I attached the font with .ass itself but didn't work. I also attached with mkv file along with .srt file and didn't work as well.

I just purchased a Samsung QLED Smart TV and although the new ones will not play IDX/SUB subtitles like my old one did they do have more options for text based subtitles. Changing font is one of them. It is a limited selection though. You can also change color, size, border, background, etc. it’s best to have the subtitle file named the same as the movie. It will play embedded subs but not as well as a separate file.
