Capture from Hi8 to DV then firewire to PC - capture inquiry

Hi,

I am capturing from Hi8 to DVcam via s-video and mini jack audio, then fire-wire to PC Wim 10x641909.

I am not sure what software. I should use.Vd2 or 1.911 or Scenalyzer.

I have tried Scenayzer however I can't get it to capture.

As soon as I press Capture in sclive the DV cam goes into play mode and stops showing the vision from the Hi8.

I am obviously not doing something right. Any help please?

In Options>Misc.Options set "use device control" to NO.
And in Options>Capture Settings you should set "max. file size" to unlimited.

I am still trying other programs to see if I can get a better result and have Magix Media Edit Pro Premium.
I chose the DV capture and it give a good picture however it stops recording every 20MB or 6 seconds.
I have tried different tapes but still get the same stopping. When I hit the record button again, it stops at 20MB or 6 seconds.

It does not do this is the other programs I have tried and the Magix forum is also baffled. I have checked all options and they are correct.

Does anyone have any inkling what could cause this please?
