I found my old Pinnacle 700-USB hardware and was going to copy some home videos to DVD before they fade away. Unfortunately I can only find 2 of the 3 Studio Ver 10 software discs.
Anyone know where I could get disc #2 OR any cheep (or free) software to operate the hardware?
Keep in mind I have no experience so make it simple. I don't want to have to write Linux code to get it to work.
Thx,
Santa Jay

Use Vdub or AmarecTV, those can capture lossess, then encode later to mp4 or the outdated mpg for DVD authoring. If it's too complicated have someone do it for you or just get a VHS/DVD combo and record to DVD, but keep the original tapes as this DVD method is just for convenience not ideal for archiving.

Thanks for the info. I'm trying to do it with the hardware I have now to keep the cost as low as possible. My daughter has some sing-a-long tapes i'd like to copy to DVD for my grand-daughter as well. She doesn't even have a VCR. I hear they are more difficult because of copyright. Is there any way to save those as well?
