my friend picked up the ati aiw capture card. i have the dazzle dvc ii
so i don't know too much about the ati card. he captures a svcd at
compliant settings (ntsc, mpeg-2, 2.5 Mbps). he burns using nero.
he has to turn the compliancy check off but after burning, it plays well
on his apex dvd.
my question: what editing software do you guys use after you capture
from the ati aiw? tmpgenc? ulead video studio? and what editing
software prevents complete re-conversion of the file. with the dazzle,
if you capture at a certain template in moviestar (the dazzle cap and edit
application), then editing takes seconds (i.e. clipping commercials).
is there an editing software that can do the same with captures from the
ati aiw or does re-encoding have to be done? which is the best software?
thanks.
