  1. can anyone tell me what the connector type is on the back of the wintv/pci card for tv-in? it's not a standard rf connector (although looks like a mini-sized version of one) and it's not an f-type connector (as in cable)... anyone know? also, i'm experiencing problems capturing from vhs due to poor quality tapes/recordings confusing the capture card. i don't want to goto the expense of a TBC... will connecting the vcr via the rf-out make a difference? (as it's simply an rf signal rather than composite video). cheers.

  2. On my WinTV pci card, Model 404 it's just an RCA plug for video input. On later models I believe they have an S-video input for video. If you don't have S-Video out from your VCR (most standard VHS vcr's don't) you should have got with your WinTV card an adaptor to change the S-Video input to an RCA plug input.

  3. Use S-Video if available. I have tried capturing using the normal RCA plug and I don't get good results.
