While new to all of this, I am having great success converting DivX files to VCD utilizing vcdhelp recommended freeware (VirtualDub, TMPGEnc, and Nero - came with my burner and has been upgraded to latest version). However, I have downloaded several avi files with "non-standard" frame speeds (14.9 fps, 20.0 fps, etc.) which are giving me problems. While I have no problem viewing these on computer using Windows Media Player, I have not been able to successfully burn onto VCD. I get audio, but no video (blank screen). I suspect there is a simple setting solution (perhaps in TMPEnc program) but I haven't found it yet. Any and all help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Basically, anything that has a non standard frame rate is a pain in the a**!!. Unless you are really keen it is probably not worth bothering with as the results are likley to be poor. If you still want to convert, then take a look at the guide for NTSC to PAL conversion, as many of the same basic rules will apply, only more so if you see what I mean.
