Nero doesn't link with external device

Hello, not sure what topic to list this on. My OS is Windows 10. It can see when I plug my external player/burner into the USB port and I can watch movies through it with Nero Movie Media. My Nero Video however, doesnt see the device. I spent numerous hours over the last few days preparing a project, creating 65 chapters and uploading custom jpgs to go with each, etc, etc. Got excited to finally burn to disc but Nero just says burn to "image recorder" with no drop down to find my external drive. Anyone know how to resolve this? I dont see Nero Video app blocked within my antivirus ransomware btw

Most people would regard Nero software as a P.O.S.


But a few possibilities.


Was the drive connected before you attempted to start the burn and was a blank disk in the drive. And, the obvious, is the drive a blu-ray burner not just a dvd-burner.

The place to start is to post the make and model number of the DVD/BluRay drive and if it is in an external enclosure or if the drive is an external on it own.
