Greetins,
I *finally* got the capture working somewhat decent. I am compressing using the Huffyuv codec during the capture. the AVI that I get is great.. good color, clarity etc. I am using AVI_IO. I am capping 29.97/352x240
I use TMPGenc to encode into MPG1 for VCD. Not using any filters, etc except noise reduction (8.2.8), the mpg i end up with has colors all messed up. There seems to be a abundance of green-ish tint.
I am using "Best quality (slowest)", and interlaced for input.
I am capping on Win98 and encoding on Win2K, but I don't think that would make a difference.
Any ideas or suggestoins on how to preserve color better?
Thanks in advance..

I figured out my own question, a couple days later. I thought I was capping with Huff, but I was capping uncompressed, and VDub was showing compression MS YUV. When I use AVI_IO with Huff codec, and then through TMPG, everything's cool.
While folks didn't reply to this one, I caught onto my error when someone was talking about not having settings saved in another thread....
Have a good weekend
