    What is a good setup to make your videos "HD" for Youtube? What is a good way to resize videos that 256x224 to 720 HD for Youtube?

    If you start with crap, you'll just wind up with higher resolution and much worse crap.

    Unfortunately for what you want to do (make your video look better by increasing resolution), manono is 100% correct. You can't add detail or make something look better by increasing resolution.

    Having said that, you can sometimes smooth out staircasing on diagonal lines by up-resn'g, but your HD TV set will probably do that for you.
