I am using DVDStyler for the first time and I am trying to burn a DVD with five slideshows I made with Adobe Elements Photoshop. I have the five SS's loaded into the workspace and I would like to add text under the five SS icons. I cannot figure out how to do it. Can I change the image preselected for each SS?
Also I would like when the DVD is used on a TV screen to allow the user to simply select the SS desired. Is this possible?
Thanks.

Is it possible to make the home screen of a DVD created using DVDStyler, to show four different slideshows AND that any of these slideshows could be selected to watch simply by selecting the chosen slideshow window and clicking it? I have read and watched videos trying to figure out how to do this, but cannot figure it out. How do I make the windows active so that when they are chosen the corresponding slideshow will play. Can you help? Thank you.

I am so new to this. The video moves through explanations so fast and does not give an explanations why you are doing it.
Can I have one menu page with four different videos displayed AND how would I make the four videos "stand alone videos" so that if one were selected, it would play that video.
When a video is completed I would want the menu page to return so that another video can be selected or closed.
I have watched many videos and I do not understand how to make the videos active.
My videos are not chapters, they are stand alone videos. -
Just a bit. Like many videos the explantions and cursor movements are too fast.
What is the importance of the words menu and play on the opening screen?
How can I achieve stand alone videos on the menu screen that when chosen, play that video.
My videos are not chapters and when a video finishes I simply want it to return to the opening menu.
In the hours I have spent looking at videos, I have not figured out how to do this.
Thanks for answering Videoburger.

I just spent the last hour reading the DVDStyler Guide in Help and watching videos and I have many questions.
Does a video need buttons? What is the purpose of a button? Can the videos depicted in a menu be a button?
How do I make a video a button?
In the "Button Properties" box under "Action" there are two choices:" jump to " and "custom".
It appears that if you want the DVD to automatically jump from one video to another you would use "jump to".
What if you did not want the DVD to jump to videos? What would I type into the "custom" box if I wanted the DVD user to select any of several videos displayed in the menu?
I apologize for my simple questions and my terminology but I am new at this game. My previous Nero burner seemed to do all this for me. -
Either no one wants to help a novice or no one can understand my explanation of the problem. In the "Buttons Properties" box I would like to better understand the "jump to" and "custom" button, are they necessary and what do they do? There are other items in the box that I do not understand also. If I search for more information about these features in the guide, it simply shows me the "Buttons Properties" box with no deeper explanation. Some of the items in the properties box are not self evident to a novice.
I will try to again to explain what I would like to do: I have five stand alone slideshow videos on a DVD. I want the DVD user to be able to select any one of the videos. When the video is over I want the user to be able to move to any other video or quit watching from the DVD.
Hope you can help.

Perhaps you should try a forum that is specific to your program, such as:
https://www.dvdstyler.org/en/support -
If I understand (I might not), you want 5 slideshows (In a row? In a column? In tile 3 x 2?) with words underneath each. Is this to explain what they are? Would selecting the text to play that video be acceptable or do you want to select the video image itself to play that video? Is the DVD styler example what you need to accomplish only with 5 button/images?

I'm sorry I did not realize I was in the wrong forum, the title of the forum sounded like what I wanted.
Is it possible to erase this thread?
I will try again in the "Newbie" forum.
Budman1--I was wondering if buttons had to be words or whether the videos themselves could be buttons. I also get the impression that when a button is selected and a video plays that the DVD seems to want to move onto another video when the selected video is finished. That is what the "move to" feature in a button implies to me. Thanks for your question.
