I have a Sony Hi8 Camcorder. I have been reading all the past posts on capture resolutions etc. I am currently capturing all my Video at 640*480 as an AVI uncompressed, HDD space is not an issue. Currently I intend to modify the file and then output it to VHS - VCR by use of the TV out on my video card. My questions are;
Is it best to capture at the largest possible resolution then resize the file to suite the output medium or capture at the relevant resolution?
What resolution should I use for playback when recording to VHS-VCR and does the quality on my monitor of the playback affect the final video quality on the VCR ?
Thanks
Tyrone
