    As a matter of fact, I am releasing the first ever PAL D-VHS cassette with a licensed title.

    What is referred to as analog video lossless capture AVI 4:2:2 is; whatever the card samples at natively is left untouched, without compression, encoding, de-interlacing, resizing, cropping, chroma downsampling... etc. There is nothing lossless about analog tape formats, but the term lossless refers to the lossless process of ingesting the digital video signal. kind of like transferring DV/HDV tapes to computer losslessly via firewire, it doesn't mean HDV is lossless.
