Help downloading from Hotstar with youtube-dl.

Hi guys!

I am being able to open and watch Hotstar videos directly with my browser and one could also download with youtube-dl until it just stopped working some days ago:
Now youtube-dl only downloads now a small video (5 seconds long) with the following text in it:

"This version of Hotstar is no longer supported.
Please download the latest version from the App Store. If you are unable to
view content even after upgrading your app, please uninstall and reinstall the app.".

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

or use tubedigger

Use a browser's Developer Tools to find the m3u8 URL and the referer field. Then use youtube-dl to find the resolution you want:

youtube-dl -F --referer "https://www.hotstar.com/in/tv/radhakrishn/s-1695/the-classic-love-saga/1000221006" "https://hsprepack.akamaized.net/videos/bharat/rakrsb/1_2/master.m3u8?hdnea=st=1587912106~exp=1587912706~acl=/videos/bharat/rakrsb/1_2/*~data=ip=070887a78a2f3e22174aa6521e649523ef75ac8ecf244d8a79b8c1a7fe44-userid=29f04c5aeead1f163e39eedeec2cb443d44047fac4f2876cb6a850a0be97db70~hmac=912340d55c1b3b988edfd183799d184c81c592b24f8831b61e6b25ddfa6a9b04"

Then use the -f switch to download that particular stream:

I am using the vpn I mentioned above since some weeks and it is downloading at just 170kiB/s. I could see you are getting >700KB/s - 1.10MB/s, do you live in India or could you please telll me how you do it? That'd be great

Thank you for sharing two options, I am trying to get youtubeDigger to work, without luck until now:
I got the stream addresses and clicked on start download but it just does not start downloading.
there is always 0.00% under "Progress" and after some time it says "failed", I don't know what I am doing wrong.

Still using a VPN? Mine was set to India. Maybe the link expired before you put the command line together and executed it?

Yes, I am using the vpn i mentioned above.
I copy the links from the developer tools as soon as I get them and paste them into the terminal...

youtube-dl has been shut down, but the good news is there is a "youtube-dlc" which will continue the same road like youtube-dl

well, yes it was shut down like 2 days ago but software is working pretty well. Isn't it possible to resolve same issue?
