Even though i was set to only get pm from mods and contacts i get them from others including spam. I have now had to disable pm

Methinks must amend your privacy profile since if 'Contacts' is set for 'Everyone' it may override your PM settings.

How can somebody receive a PM in here unless it's by another (identifiable) member ?
In that case report the member(s) to the Admin

^^ PMs can be filtered. As the OP stated. Yet I also replied that there is another privacy setting that the OP should look at.


A common courtesy of acknowledging the reply, even if it is not the solution, would not go amiss.

Yes I saw that, but even so, even if there was a bug in the forum code and a message gets thru the filter,
is the sender of the message identified?
